Kaimuki High School

Hello my name is Dylan, and I am 19 years old and have just begun my sophomore year at Kapiolani Community College.  I have just recently joined Youth for Christ as an intern and I will be working with students at Kaimuki High School. I go to Kapahulu Bible Church. I have the blessing of being on the worship team, and I love music!  I have also spent my summer in Japan on a mission trip ministering to university students and doing some tsunami relief work as well.  God is always leading me to new and exciting things in my life.

I have been a Christian for about four years or so.  Before I knew Christ, I considered myself as a regular guy, I’ve never really lived the prodigal life or anything like that.  My only problem seemed to be finding something worth living for, a purpose in life.  I don’t come from a Christian background, in fact as of right now I’m the only Christian in my entire family, so the idea of a God who existed and loved me really caught my attention.  Now I would go to several youth ministry groups, including Kalani High School’s YFC club (CORE), very consistently until I had finally realized that living a life for God was the purpose that I had been seeking.

When I was given the opportunity to become an intern, I pounced on this offer immediately.  Looking back on my life now, the Lord had really used lots of people and had done some crazy miracles in order to win my heart over.  With this internship, I will gladly serve the Lord and look forward to seeing his love and conviction spread over the entire campus.
